The human heights quoted are based on twentieth century standards; for mediaeval heights, deduct 10-15 cm and average weights by 5-10 kg.
For non-human characters, the referee should decide appropriate average heights and height categories. Elves have the same approximate height as humans, but Dwarves are about 67% of human height and Goblins are approximately 80% of human height.
Converting to imperial measurements: There are approximately 2.5 cm to an inch, so normal height is approximately 5'6" to 6'0".
